I still have lots of work to do on this new blog, but on the slim chance that anybody’s peeking yet, I’ve just posted a basic tutorial on making your own gummy at home on my website:
http://kimberlychapman.com/crafts/cakes/gummytutorial.html
Note that a lot of it was done by my five-year-old daughter, so once you know the basics, pretty much anybody of any skill level can do this. It’s fun, easy, inexpensive, and yummy.
For those interested in advanced techniques, tickets are now on sale for the Capital Confectioners’ Day of Sharing, during which I will be doing a demonstration of all kinds of newly-researched fun.
I’ll post more hints about that on this blog as I replicate previous techniques used on my award-winning Wolverine cake and push ahead with new concepts.
